Eiger String Wound Polypropylene Filter Cartridge Big Blue 20″ x 4.5″ – 10μm

Eiger string wound water filter cartridges are made from 100% pure polypropylene yarn and fit Big Blue 20″ whole house (main supply) filtration systems. They reduce sediment, rust and other particles. The yarn is wound around a rigid polypropylene inner core, which ensures higher filter performance, resulting in high sediment retention and greater efficiency than standard polypropylene filters. They do not release any taste, odour or colour into the filtered water when used within the recommended temperature range, and the polypropylene construction offers excellent chemical resistance.

Polypropylene filters, often used as sediment filters, are designed to remove fine particles, sediment and rust from water. They are commonly used as pre-filters to protect and extend the life of the following filtration stages. They are affordable and easy to replace, making them an essential part of many water filtration set-ups.
